The stunning phone advertisment you see during your daily soaps is the brand new Oppo F9 Pro, launched in August, 2018. Oppo, of late, has been pushing the boundaries of smartphone design, and that trend isn’t stopping with the F9 Pro. It was just a few weeks ago that we saw the truly bezel-less Find X smartphone arrive. The Oppo F9 Pro is powered by 2GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Oppo F9 Pro is powered by a 3500mAh. The phone comes with a 6.30-inch touchscreen display, which might be a problem because people go for handy phones which would actually fit in their pocket, with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2340 pixels. Oppo F9 Pro price in India starts from Rs. 23,790. Till a few months back, Oppo was just another smartphone maker in this hustle bustle of the Indian smartphone market. You thought of Oppo and perhaps you felt that it is a Chinese smartphone maker in every price segment that rides high on design. Come 2018 and the perception about Oppo has changed.

DISPLAY

The display of opposite f9 pro is one of the plus points that stand outs.It features a 6.33-inch full LTPS TFT screen of 2340x1080p resolution. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 90.8% screen that look super appealing when watching movies.  the display performance of the Oppo F9 Pro is quite commendable. The colours are sharp and vibrant. Whether you’re watching a movie on NETFLIX or playing a game, the viewing experience on the handset is bang on.

PERFORMANCE

Opposite f9 pro comes with Android 8.1 Oreo with a custom ColorOS version 5.2 on the top. In short it comes with a huge number of features.
Firstly, you get a smart sidebar on the home screen that has commands like screenshot, screen recording and block banner notification. The sidebar also lets you place your most widely used apps in that widget so you can have easy accessed.

In terms of security, it has both fingerprint scanner and a facial unlock support, both of which are super quick to unlock the smartphone. There is a Oppo Secure keyboard that appears every time you have to input a password or OTP-Pin.

CAMERA

The Oppo f9 pro has an Excellent camera and has come up with the feature of a dual rear camera setup. It has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 for depth effect. It also has the HDR mode, there is a Super Vivid mode that increases the contrast. Users also get AR stickers and various filters in-built in the camera app of the smartphone. Selecting the Portrait Mode while using the rear camera enables iPhone like portrait lighting effects.

BATTERY

In this model Oppo has introduced VOOC charging. It packs a 3500mAh that lasts just about a day easily with slightly heavy usage. But their claim is strong on how quickly it charges and not how long it lasts.

The back of the phone is more mesmerising than the front. A shimmering blue-black diamond design which shifts between the two colours at different angles, it is lovely to look at.The dual-camera sits at the top-left in a horizontal layout, along with an LED-flash. The fingerprint scanner blends in with the gradient colour and would have been indistinguishable from the back if it weren’t for those physical grooves. With a glass-backed phone, a cover is automatically advised, but i think it would be an insult to hide that stunning gradient and pattern. However, if you have butter fingers, then a transparent protective case is always recommended. Launched at a price of Rs 23,990, the Oppo F9 Pro has a couple of highlights — gradient dual-tone design, fast charging support and a waterdrop notch. Internal storage for the device is 64GB, which is low compared to what their competition currently offers. However to make up for it, Oppo offers a dedicated microSD card slot that lets you expand storage by up to 256GB. On paper, the Oppo F9 Pro will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus ZenFone and Honor 9N, which are all priced more aggressively. However, Oppo hopes that its eye-catching designs and Super VOOC flash charging will prove to be differentiating factors. The company is hoping to appeal to young buyers with aesthetics, rather than focusing on specifications.
